Mixed Animal Veterinarian
Practice description: We're looking to add two veterinarians to our family owned, rapidly growing practice. This position is for small (or mixed) animal practitioners at our Mount Holly, NJ location or our Tuckerton, NJ hospital. Mount Holly is located in south central NJ approximately 35 minutes east of Philadelphia and 45 minutes west of the Jersey Shore. We're in the process of a planned move of this office to a new 6000 sq. ft. facility which we hope to have completed by Fall '21. Tuckerton is located right on the coast, about 30 minutes north of Atlantic City, NJ and on the mainland side of Long Beach Island. This office, just over a year old, is located in a completely remodeled 6500 sq. ft. building which also contains a pet store and groomer. We also have a equine/large animal haul-in farm facility located in Eastampton, NJ.
Position description: While our primary need is for small animal doctors, the practice sees a wide variety of species including goats, sheep, pet pigs, poultry, and pocket pets. Interest in these species is a plus but not a requirement. Applicants should be comfortable with seeing routine wellness and sick appointments. We see a fair number of "urgent care" type cases so comfort with this is preferred. Those with an interest and experience in small animal dentistry and/or soft tissue surgery will receive preference, but new graduates are encouraged to apply as well. We also provide shelter services to the Burlington County Animal Shelter. Applicants interested in some shelter medicine/shelter surgery are welcomed, but this is not a requirement.

The practice offers a fast-paced but fun work environment with a wide variety of cases. This is a low-drama practice with wonderful support staff. Our offices are paperless (AVImark) and well-equipped with digital x-ray (including digital dental x-ray), ultrasound, new high-speed dental units, Bovie electrocautery, Aesculight CO2 surgical laser, ForceTriad/Ligasure vessel sealing, endoscopy, in-house IDEXX labs (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue), in-house pharmacy, isoflurane/sevoflurane gas anesthesia and advanced anesthetic monitoring (ECG, BP, SpO2, Temp, CO2).

Staff currently includes five full-time veterinarians (two small animal exclusive doctors, one mixed animal doctor, an exotics specialist, and a equine/large animal doctor). Consulting specialists in cardiology, surgery, and internal medicine rotate through our offices on a schedule and allow us to provide a wide range of care to our clients on site.

We're lucky to have a wonderful support and technician staff to support our doctors. We strive to offer clients access to the latest in veterinary care at affordable prices. We also value the time spent with clients to allow us to practice the best medicine- this is not a practice that will rush you through 15 minute appointment blocks that only provide limited client-doctor time.

Benefits include a competitive salary, participation in our group health insurance plan, paid life insurance policy, SimpleIRA retirement plan with 3% employer match, employee discounts, paid vacation time, NJVMA membership, PLIT coverage, and a generous CE/license allowance.

Applicants must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a New Jersey veterinary license, New Jersey CDS permit, New Jersey Drivers License, and Level II USDA accreditation.
